 Shah Rukh Khan, often fondly referred to as the "King of Bollywood," was born on November 2, 1965, in New Delhi, India, to Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima. Raised in a middle-class family, Khan attended St. Columba's School, where he excelled academically and in extracurricular activities like sports and theater.

After completing his schooling, Khan pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Hansraj College and later enrolled in Jamia Millia Islamia to study Mass Communication. However, his passion for acting led him to drop out of university and pursue a career in the Indian film industry.

Shah Rukh Khan's journey in Bollywood began with television appearances in series like "Fauji" (1988) and "Circus" (1989), where he showcased his acting prowess and garnered attention. His breakthrough came with the film "Deewana" in 1992, where he starred alongside Divya Bharti and Rishi Kapoor. Khan's performance earned him the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award, marking the beginning of his illustrious career.

Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Shah Rukh Khan became a dominant force in Bollywood, delivering numerous box office hits and establishing himself as one of the industry's most bankable stars. His versatility as an actor was evident in films like "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995), "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (1998), "Devdas" (2002), and "Swades" (2004), among many others.

Khan's on-screen persona, characterized by his charm, wit, and romanticism, endeared him to audiences worldwide. His portrayal of complex characters with depth and sensitivity earned him critical acclaim and a dedicated fan following. Beyond acting, Khan ventured into film production with his company, Red Chillies Entertainment, and ventured into other ventures such as IPL cricket team ownership and endorsement deals.

Shah Rukh Khan's contributions to Indian cinema have been recognized with numerous awards, including fourteen Filmfare Awards. He has also been honored with prestigious civilian awards such as the Padma Shri and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from the Government of France.

Off-screen, Khan is known for his philanthropic work, supporting various causes related to education, healthcare, and disaster relief through his Meer Foundation and other initiatives. He is also actively involved in promoting Indian cinema globally, attending international film festivals and events as an ambassador of Indian culture.

Despite facing occasional setbacks in his career, Shah Rukh Khan remains an iconic figure in Bollywood, admired for his talent, charisma, and contributions to the entertainment industry. His journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the most recognizable faces in Indian cinema is a testament to his determination, passion, and enduring appeal.
